Diabetics can cut tuberculosis risk by controlling blood-sugar levels: study – Taipei Times

A team of researchers in Taiwan have determined that diabetics who properly control their blood their blood sugar are generally no more likely to get tuberculosis than a regular person. On the other hand, diabetics who don’t monitor their blood sugar are two to three times more likely to catch the disease. In addition diabetics are more likely to suffer death and relapse from tuberculosis.
